Intoduction of a Toolbar could be beneficial for users

Hi everyone,

I am new here and I was playing around with JSudoku the previous days. All I want is to share my thoughts with you and suggest some potential improvemnts in points that I think could be modified in a positive way in the app.

One of the main points that I wanted to share was the absence of a toolbar. A toolbar on top of the game could be very helpful for the user in order to have access to multiple actions-buttons like: 'Start Over', 'Start New Game', 'Go Back One Step', 'Hint', etc. Let me explain the role and utility of each action seperatly:

  • 'Start Over' : This button would allow the user to reset the current game entirely, bringing all elements back to their initial state. It would let the user restart easily without closing or refreshing the app.
  • 'Start New Game' : This option would enable users to begin a completely new game, possibly with different parameters or levels. It could make switching between games easier and improves overall ease of use.
  • 'Go Back One Step' : This function would allow the user to undo their most recent action. It is particularly useful in puzzle games, where users may wish to correct a mistake or reconsider a previous move.
  • 'Hint' : The Hint feature would help users who are having trouble making progress throught the game. Gentle clues could be given instead of full answers, keeping the game challenging while still helping the player move forward.

These are just some of the actions that I believe would benefit the user and help keep them interested in the game.

I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts as well.

Sincerely
Bill
